Finish Above The Scum Tour, Derby, May 2003

Ipswich went into the final league match away at Derby County needed a win to guarantee finished above the scum (aka Budgies). When the fixtures were originally announced, many thought that this would some sort of promotion decider but sadly it was not to be. However, over 4,100 TractorBoys and Girls travelled to Derby and saw and 4-1 win which ensured we finished above the scum for the 8th consecutive season. In a strange quirk of fate, Derby were being managed on a temporary basis

The day didn't start well when Flag Guardian, Nik Taylor (you know, the one who pulled that really old women in Luxembourg), managed to leave the flag locked in the pub and we had to leave for Derby before the pub opened.
