Injury Blow (28th March)
Ipswich have been hit with a double injury blow with the news that Ian Westlake will miss the remaining matches of the season with a badly sprained ankle and may face surgery. In addition, striker Sam Parkin has suffered a reaction to his broken ankle after taking part in a reserve match against West Ham. Parkin played the first 45 minutes but the ankle was sore has he left the field and has been painful over the last few days. The plan was for Parkin to take part in another reserve match later this week but that won't happen now and it looks like his season is also over.

Ricardo Fuller
On-loan striker, Ricardo Fuller, has certainly had a interesting loan time at Ipswich. He made his 3rd appearance in the 2-2 draw at Crystal Palace. Shortly after heading in Town's second goal, he was given a straight red for a hand gesture at the crowd. It was yet another unjust sending off this season, making it 6 in total. This will mean that Fuller is suspended for next weeks home game against Hull. Joe Royle has made no secret of his desire to make Fuller's move to Ipswich a permanent one. If he fails, he will be remembered for his eventful time at Portman Road. His debut was delayed after it was established his original work permit was only valid for Southampton. He made his debut a week later, scoring the 2nd goal against Leicester and picked up his 5th yellow card which meant he missed a game through suspension. He made an unsuccessful return to Preston before scoring his 2nd goal in 3 games on Saturday.

Play-off hopes suffer (14th March 23:34)
The Tractorboys had a shocking time at Deepdale going down 3-1 to Preston. Things started badly when Richard Naylor was dismissed for a professional foul. Despite this, Ipswich took the lead though a Jason De Vos header. However, there was no stopping Preston in the 2nd half as they hit 3 goals without reply. The defeat realistically ends Ipswich's hopes of making the play-offs

Team news (9th March 19:34)
There is mainly good news regarding players ahead of Saturday's home match with Millwall. Striker Alan Lee is in the 16 man squad and will have a late fitness test. Midfielder Jimmy Juan is also back after injury but on-loan Ricardo Fuller is suspended.

Joe misses out on award (2nd March 21:21)
Joe Royle missed on on the Manager of the Month award for February. Adrian Boothroyd of Watford won the award and as a result will attract the curse that states when a manger wins the award, his team loses the next match. Ipswich travel to Preston on Saturday and it is hoped that midfielder Jimmy Juan and striker Alan Lee will both be fit. Preston are suffering a crisis with a number of defenders being unavailable for the game though injury and suspension.

Former play to make his England bow (28th February 23:00)
Former striker, Darren Bent is expected make his full England debut tomorrow night against Uruguay at Anfield. The game is the first of 3 friendlies before the World Cup in Germany and Bent will be looking to secure his place in the squad. When Ipswich sold Bent to Charlton in the summer, there was an additional payment clause in the transfer which meant Charlton had to pay Ipswich more money when he made his England debut. However, this payment only relates to a competitive game so the clause will not be invoked........yet

Fuller scores on debut (25th February 17:00)
Ricardo Fuller scored on his Ipswich debut to secure the points in a 2-0 against Leicester City at Portman Road today. Fuller scored in the 86th minute, 5 minutes after getting booked. Town's first goal was scored by teenage midfielder, Owen Garvan. The attendance was 24, 861. The win moves Town up to 9th in the table, 5 points behind 6th place Preston. Ipswich visit Preston next Saturday.
